General Guidelines for Proper Care of Devices
Keep food or drink away from Chromebooks.
Keep the keyboard clear of objects to prevent accidentally closing lid and damaging the screen from the object.
Be mindful of how you store the device.
Any pressure or weight against the device can crack the screen and damage other components. The screens are particularly sensitive to damage from excessive pressure.
Extreme temperatures will degrade the electronics and battery
Whether the device is in a backpack or carried by hand, always transport it with care. Lifting the device by the screen or transporting the device with the screen open increases the likelihood of an accident.
Position the device and charging cords such that it is not a tripping hazard

Only clean the screen with a soft, dry microfiber cloth or anti-static cloth. The IT Office has approved cleaning supplies if needed.
