Troubleshooting

"I can't sign into my chromebook."

If you continue to have trouble, let us know if there are any error messages and we can help with additional checks.

"I can't hear any sounds."

Sometimes users accidentally mute their sound. To check for this try:

"My microphone is not working." "My camera is not working."

Change a site's camera & microphone permissions

When you first access a service that requires a microphone, (Talk & Type),  a white box panel that will appear at the top left that will give permission for the service to access your microphone. If you don't do that, log out of her chromebook, log back in, and try again.

If that doesn't work, reset the Chrome settings to default.

If neither of these solutions work, submit a ticket at help.frsu38.org stating the chromebook microphone is not working and needs repair.

"I can't see the whole webpage."

Users can quickly change their Chromebooks resolution by using the following key combinations:

Users can change resolution and change other display options by going into the Display settings page:

"How do I print to my home printer?"

School chromebooks and laptops can connect to home wireless printers by locating and selecting the printer from your list.  If you do not see your home printer in the list, click here for a list of supported cloud print Printers from Google https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/printers/

For step by step directions:
